We are recruiting for a Locum Consultant in Adult Psychiatry at Tameside General Hospital. Shifts are from 09:00am to 17:00pm, Monday.

Beckett Place is a ten bed step‑down secure unit for women with severe mental illness and complex needs. Tatton/Beckett is a long‑term low secure service for adult males.

• Provide clinical leadership and management across the Adult Psychiatry service.
• Conduct assessments, formulate diagnoses and develop treatment plans.
• Deliver high‑quality care in acute, rehabilitation and step‑down settings.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• MRCPsych or FRCPsych or equivalent.
• GMC Specialist Registration for Adult Psychiatry.
• Full GMC registration with a specialist licence to practise.
• CCT in Adult Psychiatry.
• Approved by health board under s22 of the Mental Health Act.
• Current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check.
• UK Right to Work.

• Financial remuneration £100‑£125 per hour (PAYE).
