Production Lead Operator - Paint Line

We seek a highly motivated individual for the Paint Line Lead Operator position. Martin Wheel is a growing manufacturer and importer of tires and wheel assemblies for Lawn and Garden, Agricultural, Industrial, and Trailer applications. Our products are sold to equipment manufacturers as well as through various aftermarket and e-commerce channels.

Position Summary:

The Paint Line Lead Operator is responsible for performing basic to advanced equipment setup tasks and facility services with minimal supervision according to an outlined plan.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Two (2) year minimum work experience on Powder Coating Line
• Forklift experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Excellent active listening, verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of parts washer for cleaning parts for a Powder Coating Line
• Ability to solve problems, work as a team or individually
• Intermediate to advanced ability to troubleshoot paint line and powder coating issues on various production equipment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled and unplanned setups on the Paint Line
• Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance of wash and paint booth equipment including but not limited to other paint line related equipment
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Nordson and Wagner powder coating equipment
• Perform daily setup/maintenance tasks for the powder coat line
• Record parts or materials used and requisition new parts or materials as necessary
• Support maintenance staff on any issues with paint line
• Provide support and assist with project work directed by the plant leadership team or project leads
• Work with hourly production workers to maintain quality parts and keep Paint Line running
• Work in other departments when the paint line is not running
• Performs other duties as assigned

Working Condition and Physical Requirements:

• Work is normally performed in a manufacturing environment
• Physical demands of the position are sitting, standing, walking, and lifting
• May require working in a variety of weather conditions and may involve exposure to dust, fumes, and other airborne particles
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs at one time
