Full-Time

• The Registered Nurse (RN) IIB position is a licensed staff nurse, an experienced clinician, functioning at the Competent to Proficient stage of Benner's model of clinical practice.
• Provide professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conduct nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records.
• Deliver direct patient care effectively and efficiently, including patients with varied and complex needs.
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional health care team to facilitate, coordinate, and maintain compassionate, efficient, quality care and achievement of desired treatment outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical competence in care provision, use of technology, medication administration, procedures, and emergency management; advocate for patients and families to monitor and maintain patient rights.
• Assume leadership roles with progressive responsibility, including participating in or leading unit and shared governance initiatives, serving as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new employees, and contributing to service line or hospital-wide initiatives with management.
• This job code is reserved for RNs dedicated to an OR, ER or Cardiac Cath Lab department.

• One year of acute care experience (within the last 3 years) required. Trauma experience preferred. ER and trauma experience preferred but not required. If coming from Med/Surg, at least three years RN experience is preferred; otherwise, one year of PCU, ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, etc., in the last three years is good.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, multistate or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required.
• Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 60 months of employment start date.

• Salary Range: $27.72 - $34.32 (based on 10 years of experience) and up to $39.60 (20 years of experience).
• Shift Differentials: $4.25/hr night shift differential; $1.50 Specialty Differential.
• Sign-on Bonus: $15,000.
