Senior Clerk - Other Personnel Services (OPS)

THIS IS NOT A TELEWORK POSITION. CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK IN THE OFFICE LOCATED AT 2415 NORTH MONROE STREET TALLAHASSEE FL. 32303.
This posting will be used to fill 1 OPS positions.
Current employees will be compensated in accordance with the DCF salary policy.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.
Business hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST, Monday - Friday.
Salary: $16.71/HR.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Note:
Be prepared to provide a copy of your degree/diploma or request official transcripts from your school. All documents must be in English, clear, and legible, showing all signatures and pertinent details. Foreign degrees must be validated by a third party to meet the US equivalency requirements. All costs are the responsibility of the applicant. - At least one (1) year of clerical work in a professional setting or contact/ customer service experience serving members of the public.
- Excellent writing and verbal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
This position reports directly to the Hope Florida Program office. This position will function as a Clerk. This is a professional position which is responsible for helping customers that are in crisis by accessing a wide variety of services and resources that can assist staff, as well as the customers.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrating professionalism competency, working well with others.
- Communicating clearly, and effectively listening to customers.
- Talking to others to effectively convey information.
- Assist with other duties as requested.
- Knowledge of administrative principles and practices.
- Knowledge of office procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of correct grammar and report style editing.
- Ability to determine work priorities, assign work, and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to manage confidential information.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of management practices.
- Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.
- Ability to conduct fact-finding research.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Include supervisor names and phone numbers for all periods of employment.
- Account for and explain any gaps in employment so that the hiring process is not delayed.
- Experience, education, training, knowledge, skills and/or abilities as well as responses to pre-qualifying questions must be verifiable to meet the minimum qualifications.
