-Ensure daily cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms, restrooms, and common areas, following DCF regulations and the LCS Maintenance Handbook.
-Perform and oversee routine maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and minor repairs
-Conduct routine inspections of the facility for cleanliness, safety hazards, and maintenance needs.
-Manage quarterly and annual maintenance processes such as stripping/waxing floors and pressure washing
-Troubleshoot site-based facility issues before contacting district maintenance or submitting work orders.
-Submit and follow up on maintenance work orders requiring district-level support.
Schedule preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
-Supervise custodial and maintenance staff or contractors.
-Ensure custodial staff follow safety regulations, sanitation protocols, and school board policies
Maintain staff schedules, productivity expectations, and performance standards.
Oversee lawn care, exterior cleanliness, and grounds upkeep to maintain a safe environment.
-Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
-Order supplies through the school bookkeeper as needed
-Coordinate with school administrators and district departments on facility-related needs.
-Communicate maintenance timelines and facility updates to school leadership.
-Ability to follow early childhood safety, sanitation, and compliance guidelines.

Additional Job Information
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-At least 3 years of custodial or building maintenance experience.
-Supervisory experience preferred.
-Open school daily and some weekends.
