OPS Maintenance Technician | Opportunity
Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is excited to announce a part-time opportunity for the position of OPS Maintenance Technician with the Facilities Department. We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community.
What You’ll DoAs OPS Maintenance Technician
, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment including electrical, plumbing, sheetrock, masonry and related components.
The day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Operates, maintains, and repairs HVAC systems and components including building automation systems.
- Operates and maintains vehicles including tractors, forklifts, boom lifts, loaders, large trucks, and motorized carts.
- Maintains small equipment used in the maintenance area.
Work schedule:
Up to 20 hours per week; hours may vary.

We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:
- High School or GED is preferred.
- Experience in at least three of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, electronics, carpentry/masonry, AutoCAD or equivalent Computer Aided Drafting / Drawing Program.
