Business Analyst

Kforce has a client in Tallahassee, FL that is seeking a Business Analyst.

Summary:

The Advanced Business Analyst is a key member of a full lifecycle Agile development team. This role partners closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to translate strategic and operational needs into clear, actionable business and technical requirements. The analyst leads business needs assessments, supports solution design, and ensures alignment between business objectives, technical solutions, and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements through stakeholder collaboration

* Conduct user needs assessments and translate findings into requirements, use cases, test cases, and supporting documentation

* Partner with stakeholders to assess feasibility, conduct impact analyses, and prioritize demands based on business value and resource constraints

* Support solution design efforts to ensure alignment with organizational objectives

* Participate in demand analysis from ideation through project approval

* Develop business cases, cost estimates, feasibility studies, and documentation to support funding decisions

* Document and model current-state and future-state business processes and workflows

* Collaborate with technical teams to develop specifications, business rules, and acceptance criteria

* Plan and support testing efforts including functional, regression, system integration, and data validation testing

* Analyze trends and demand patterns, summarizing insights for both executive and technical audiences
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field;
Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education

* Preferred Certifications (not required): CBAP, CSM, CSPO, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP, PMP, ITIL

* 5+ years of experience in business process analysis and systems analysis

* Excellent facilitation and stakeholder communication skills

* Ability to produce clear, comprehensive functional and technical documentation

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

* Strong collaboration and relationship-building capabilities across business and technical teams

* Strong experience translating business requirements into technical requirements

* Proficiency in process mapping and modeling (e.g., Visio)

* Strong knowledge of Agile project methodologies and full SDLC

* Experience with Azure Dev Ops or similar tools for managing requirements and backlogs

* Experience with data migration initiatives

* Strong knowledge of testing and quality assurance practices

* Experience using reporting and analytics tools, including Power BI

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
