QualificationsRequired Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
Required Experience:
- None
Required Certification/License/Registry:
- Must possess & maintain licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the State of Florida Department of Health and the National Board of Respiratory Care and possess Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) AND Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS);
Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) preferred-must be obtained within 90 days of start - Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist(within one year of hire date)

ResponsibilitiesThe Respiratory Therapist RRT/PFT is responsible for:
- Performing general pulmonary function testing and respiratory care services in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Administer general respiratory care modalities in all areas, excluding NICU.
- Function independently in PICU and all adult intensive care areas.
- Implement and monitor therapeutic modalities per physician's orders.
- Provide on call staffing for department needs.
