This position coordinates statewide inter- and intra-departmental drinking water and water well construction activities between County Health Departments, the Department of Environmental Protection, the five Water Management Districts, and other state, local, and federal agencies. It also exercises independent judgement in the formulation of policies and procedures for the implementation of the Department’s responsibilities in public and private drinking water.

• Six years’ experience in the fields of environmental or natural sciences or environmental health. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in environmental or natural sciences can substitute for four years of the required experience.

• Two years’ experience in drinking water or water well regulation or operation.
• A Registered Sanitarian/Registered Environmental Health Professional designation from the National Environmental Health Association or a state affiliate.
