Bridge Inspector

RK&K is currently hiring a Bridge Inspector to join our Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) team in Tallahassee Florida. This position is in our Construction Management group which oversee the contractor's operations on roadway and bridge construction projects.

Essential Functions

• Assisting the Project Administrator or Senior Inspector in daily bridge/roadway inspection
• Ensuring contractor compliance alongside quality control
• Performing verification inspections and testing as required
• These tests and inspections include, but are not limited to: earthwork, asphalt, concrete, bridge and miscellaneous structures, toll facilities, lighting, signalization, environmental compliance, maintenance of traffic, etc.
• This position receives general supervision and instruction from the Senior Inspector and/or Project Administrator

Required Skills and Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Two (2) years' experience in roadway construction inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in bridge/roadway construction.
• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
• CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
• CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
• CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
• CTQP Final Estimates Level I

Preferred Skills and Experience

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
• CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
  • Required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sing, lighting and traffic signal structure foundations
