Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Tallahassee, Florida. This is a long-term contract position that requires someone with strong attention to detail to manage invoice processing, coding, and reconciliation tasks efficiently. The role is fully on-site, offering an opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

- Process invoices accurately and ensure proper coding in alignment with company procedures.

- Perform regular check runs and maintain timely payments to vendors.

- Reconcile accounts and address any discrepancies or errors identified during reviews.

- Review travel and reimbursement submissions, ensuring they align with credit card statements.

- Manage filing systems to maintain organized and accessible financial records.

- Utilize Sage 100 software and Excel to track and analyze invoices and expenses.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure budget compliance and proper expense tracking.

- Conduct assessments to identify and resolve issues within financial documentation.

- Provide support to the accounting team by taking over specific duties as needed.

- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and coding.

- Familiarity with Sage 100 software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

- Knowledge of general accounting principles and account reconciliation processes.

- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and addressing vendor inquiries.

- Completion of all pre-employment requirements prior to starting work.
