Position: Project Manager (Talladega, AL)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee projects from pre-construction to closeout, emphasizing clear communication, efficient resource allocation, safety compliance, and effective change management.

Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Execution:
    Lead architectural metal projects from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with client goals, technical specifications, and organizational objectives. Develop detailed project plans, covering scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
  • Team Leadership:
    Oversee project teams, including superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors, ensuring seamless execution and a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • Resource Allocation:
    Optimize labor, materials, and equipment to meet deadlines and budgets, and anticipate team needs.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication regarding project progress, milestones, challenges, and any scope changes to ensure client satisfaction and foster lasting client relationships.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    Collaborate with internal departments (pre-construction, fabrication, and safety) and external stakeholders (subcontractors, vendors) to ensure alignment on project requirements, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Change Management:
    Manage project scope changes, ensuring documentation, client alignment, and clear communication of schedule and budget impacts.
  • Safety & Quality Management:
    Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards; perform risk assessments, conduct safety audits, and promote a safety-first culture on job sites. Implement and enforce quality control procedures; conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety adherence.
  • Budget Oversight:
    Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure projects remain within financial constraints. Review and analyze financial reports regularly, adjusting as necessary to address cost overruns or savings opportunities.
  • Schedule Management:
    Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met and delays are mitigated.
  • Risk Management:

    Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; maintain a risk register and develop contingency plans.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    Prepare and present regular project status updates to senior management. Ensure all project documentation—contracts, change orders, schedules, meeting minutes, safety records, etc.—are complete and properly filed. Lead the project closeout process and participate in lessons-learned meetings.
Qualifications / Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred) or minimum of 5 years of experience managing architectural or construction projects.
  • Experience in managing project teams and working with diverse stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Software Proficiency:
    Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project), scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications (Preferred): OSHA certification (30-hour or equivalent).
