GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position will serve as a full-time, on-site Field Technical Assistant based in a Cherokee Nation-owned community building, responsible for planning community events, facilitating outreach, liaising with Cherokee Nation programs and services, and ensuring compliance with building policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Partner with organizational leadership to schedule, plan, and execute community events on a regular basis.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and Cherokee Nation CCO, as well as other tribal programs and services.
- Organize and lead outreach initiatives to foster and strengthen local community engagement and participation.
- Coordinate volunteer opportunities and partnerships between the organization and the Gadugi Corps.
- Monitor and ensure that community organizations utilizing Cherokee Nation-owned community buildings adhere to all established policies and procedures.
- Maintain a consistent physical presence at the Community Building site throughout normal business hours.
- Support the development and implementation of programs and services that align with the needs of the local community.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to community events, outreach activities, and building operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Not a supervisory position.
QUALIFICATIONS- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); no exceptions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
- The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
