Success Coordinator, Educational Talent Search – Tahlequah Campus
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for coordinating Educational Talent Search/TRIO programming for the Tahlequah campus.
MAJOR DUTIES
- Plans, implements and facilitates workshops; conducts a series of seminars using grade-appropriate curriculum on high school success, college readiness, career exploration and life skills, financial literacy, and college planning.
- Recruits, identifies, assesses, and documents eligible partnerships; develops individual service strategies plans for each participant and monitors academic progress; maintains records regarding student eligibility and performance; submits reports regarding student outcomes and activity costs; conducts regular formative and summative evaluations of programming, including developing survey and assessment instruments, determining campus visit and field trip participation rates, and tracking program graduates.
- Plans, implements and supervises campus visits to colleges and universities, challenge courses, educational career sites, and workshops.
- Acquires financial documentation for all activity costs; verifies and documents purchase card transactions for meals; reports event costs monthly.
- Develops strategies to provide educational opportunities for parents.
- Develops and maintains a network of college and career resources.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
- Knowledge of federal grant regulations.
- Knowledge of educational program services design and implementation principles.
- Knowledge of program evaluation principles.
- Skill in the operation of computers and job related software programs.
- Skill in decision making and problem solving.
- Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching or stooping. The employee frequently lifts light and occasionally heavy objects, climbs ladders, uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity, and utilizes the sense of smell.
- The work is typically performed in an office and outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in education or a related field.
- Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years experience or service.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
- Prior TRIO experience.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Annual salary $40,716.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave package.
