Role DescriptionAs a Deputy Pastoral Manager you’ll lead your team to meet young peoples’ emotional needs. You’ll work with families and develop individualized programs, applying high care standards to support children with challenging complex emotional and behavioural needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, and other behavioural difficulties.
With experience working with young people with BESD or ASD in a school or care setting you will understand developmental needs and pastoral care. A good listener who can motivate and inspire, combined with flexibility, strong organisation, and team management skills, will make you an asset to Witherslack Group.
About Our SchoolSince joining Witherslack Group in 2022, Bramley Hill School is an independent specialist day school in Surrey, recently rated Good by Ofsted. The school serves pupils with a primary diagnosis of autism and additional needs such as PDA, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory issues and associated behavioural difficulties.

Key Qualifications- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with ASC, ADHD or SEMH pupils, working with families in challenging circumstances
- Experience of multi‑agency work with an understanding of safeguarding legislation, policies and guidance
- NVQ Level 3 in Care or Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Ideally, leadership‑related qualification
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) qualification
- Experience of staff appraisal, performance management and supervision
