Position FocusMake a difference as a SOCIAL SERVICES ASSISTANT Coordinated Entry
As a Full-Time Social Services Assistant focusing on Coordinated Entry, you will play a pivotal role in supporting victims of domestic violence through essential Intake and scheduling services. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough intake services for clients and coordinating their next steps with our dedicated Coordinated Entry and System Navigation staff. You will collaborate with other organizations to ensure a comprehensive support network while utilizing the Clarity HMIS for effective Database Management.
Additionally, you will participate in required training and networking meetings, enriching your knowledge and skills. Regular attendance at staff meetings will keep you informed about organizational policies and procedures, ensuring that you remain aligned with our mission.
This dynamic position allows you to implement supportive practices, enhance client experiences, and contribute to a collaborative and empathetic team environment while fulfilling other duties as assigned.
What you need to be successfulTo excel as a Full-Time Social Services Assistant focusing on Coordinated Entry, a specific set of skills and qualifications is essential. Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, is crucial for effective documentation, scheduling, and communication. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to build trusting relationships with clients and collaborate seamlessly with staff and external organizations.
Strong conflict management abilities are vital for addressing sensitive situations compassionately and effectively. Successful candidates must also demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple client cases and documentation tasks efficiently.
A High School diploma or GED is required, with a preference for candidates who have completed two years of college in a related field. Additionally, candidates must satisfactorily pass criminal history and reference checks to ensure a safe environment for our clients.
