Speedy Glass is Hiring for a Business Development Specialist to support our Washington Market! This position will receive competitive salary, comprehensive benefits as well as a company car.

The primary focus of the Business Development Specialist is to be responsible for marketing, promoting and successfully selling products and services to existing and potential customers and to prospect and generate new business. This position requires cold calling on accounts to generate new sales.

Salary

$80,168.40 - $85,000 base plus commission and a company vehicle.

Job Duties
  • Assist customers by providing product and service information, resolving product and service problems.
  • Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about products and services.
  • Confer with customers by telephone, email or in person to provide information about products and services, to take orders, or to obtain details of complaints.
  • Keeping records of interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.
  • Promote and contribute to the team effort by accomplishing results as needed and will possess the skills and qualifications to perform all jobs as required.
  • Makes personal sales calls at customer sites on a regular basis.
  • Seeks out prospective customers/business opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Establishes and maintains customer relationships in order to grow profitable sales.
  • Stays current on existing and emerging products and technologies.
  • Introduces and demonstrates new products to assigned accounts.
  • Follows-up on generated quotes to ensure the customer is being assisted.
  • Reports competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management.
  • Maintain ethical, cooperative manufacturer relationships consistent with company image and company/branch goals in the marketplace.
  • Cooperate with qualified suppliers to secure mutual business through joint calls.
  • Keep confidential any information pertaining to customers and competitors.
  • Execute sales efforts in an ethical and professional manner, assuring a favorable impression of self and the company.
  • Complete sales call and expense reports on a timely basis in accordance with company policy.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a timely and efficient manner. Reporting customer comments to management.
  • Implement a sales plan to support sales and profitability goals.
  • Be efficient in all duties required by all team members in order to provide support and/or backup for team members during installation of products and/or services for customers, including unscheduled deliveries.
  • Develop an effective and productive working relationship with Branch Managers, Branch Supervisors, Customer Service Representatives and support personnel; encourages and assists in their training and development when possible.
  • Support shops as needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School or equivalent (GED)
  • 3-5 years previous sales/customer service experience
  • Excellent driving record as well as a valid driver's license
  • Professional phone voice, demeanor and listening skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)/Superior customer relation skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to use and learn computer-based inventory control systems
  • Knowledge of market area
