As the Assistant Community Manager, you will support the daily operations of assigned properties, working closely with the Community Manager(s) to ensure operational excellence, accountability, and legendary customer service. This role plays a key part in maintaining consistency across multiple sites while supporting resident relations, leasing activity, administrative functions, and maintenance coordination.
The Assistant Community Manager helps ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the portfolio, balancing priorities, supporting onsite teams, and delivering a high-quality living experience for residents. Essential FunctionsAccountability
- Assist the Property Manager in maintaining accurate records related to leasing activity, rent payments, and maintenance requests across our properties
- Ensure compliance with leasing policies, procedures, and applicable regulations, addressing issues promptly and professionally
- Support the development and execution of strategies to achieve occupancy, revenue, and operational goals
Legendary Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, prospective residents, and vendors, responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with planning and coordinating resident events and activities to foster community engagement and satisfaction
- Conduct follow-ups with residents to ensure concerns are resolved and service expectations are met
Leasing and Marketing
- Support leasing efforts, including responding to inquiries, conducting property tours, and processing lease applications
- Partner with the marketing team to implement effective strategies that drive traffic and maintain strong occupancy levels
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor properties, and local demographics to support leasing and marketing efforts
Administrative Support
- Assist with lease preparation, renewals, move-in and move-out procedures, and resident correspondence
- Maintain accurate and compliant resident files and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Prepare reports and analyze data related to leasing activity, occupancy, and financial performance to support operational decisions
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure timely resolution of service requests and completion of work orders
- Promote a collaborative, positive work environment through open communication, teamwork, and shared accountability
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate, hospitality, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of property management experience, preferably in multifamily housing
- Experience supporting multiple properties or a multi-site portfolio strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, team members, and vendors
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in property management software (Yardi) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Ability to frequently walk apartment communities, including leasing offices, common areas, parking lots, and grounds.
- Ability to climb stairs and navigate multi-story buildings as part of routine property inspections.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods throughout the workday.
