Arclin USA is currently looking for a Quality Control Technician for our Tacoma, WA location. Reporting to the Quality Manager / Process Engineer
, this role is responsible for supporting a business application area Industrial Surfaces Overlay (ISO) group. The role monitors, tests, and dispositions finished product in the manufacturing area to ensure that it meets Arclin’s quality and performance standards. This role also performs laboratory analyses and testing, product development and customer applications projects, testing of new or modified company products and technologies while adhering to Arclin policies and procedures and applicable HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) rules and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:
- Performs work in compliance with all Arclin policies and procedures including HSE and regulatory requirements. Achieves personal objectives on time, on budget, within agreed quality and quantity parameters.
- Attends and/or completes annual training as prescribed by EHS.
- Monitors, dispositions and sorts finished product to ensure that it meets Arclin’s quality and performance standards.
- Applies creative thinking to new situations/opportunities while balancing creativity with practicality to achieve efficiencies.
- Demonstrates initiative and contributes ideas for process and quality improvements where possible to save time, money or other resources.
- Collaborates on project teams and shares knowledge with peers and other team members to assist in the productive flow of work.
- Conducts application testing of raw materials, finished products, and some New Product Development, according to industry standards and utilizing proper statistical tools and established Arclin test procedures.
- Maintains and operates lab equipment according to Arclin lab policies and procedures. Routinely investigates all lab equipment and arranges for service and repairs as required. Maintains adequate inventory of laboratory supplies.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment in the lab including disposing of waste and safe handling of flammable and toxic chemicals in compliance with all HSE regulations.
- Assists with the investigations of Customer Quality Complaints and Root Cause Analysis.
- Other various tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager / Process Engineer.
Job Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Chemistry or related field; OR significant, related on-the-job experience.
- 0‑3 years’ experience working in manufacturing OR an industrial laboratory environment.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and prepare reports with emphasis on technical clarity and accuracy.
- Industry experience preferred.
- Microsoft Windows apps knowledge i.e., Teams, Word, Excel, Adobe, Power Bi.
- Able to acquire forklift certification.
