Job Summary And Responsibilities
As a Triage RN, you will rapidly assess and prioritize patients' healthcare needs, directing them to the appropriate level of care. Every day you will conduct patient interviews, evaluate symptoms, perform initial assessments, and apply critical thinking to determine urgency and disposition. You will also provide advice, educate, and coordinate care. To be successful, you will demonstrate exceptional critical thinking, rapid assessment abilities, and strong communication, managing priorities effectively under pressure to ensure timely and appropriate patient attention.
Dispositions will be based on established protocols.
- Responsible for triaging incoming calls from patients, assessing needs, giving appropriate clinical guidance.
- Facilitates access to primary care providers, specialists, healthcare facilities, and community resources.
- Management and preventative healthcare maintenance.
- Provides education to patients regarding immediate care advice and chronic disease management, considering cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Adapts communication style to patients representing diverse personal, professional, and cultural backgrounds.
- Multi‑tasking, utilizing critical thinking, and verbal/listening communication skills while performing data entry.
- Utilizes decision‑support tools and electronic health records (EMR) to document information, incorporating excellent computer and typing skills and the ability to navigate multiple applications concurrently.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and three years clinical RN experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting upon hire.
- Registered Nurse: WA DOH license.
- Bachelor of Nursing, upon hire.
- Previous telephone triage/call center RN experience.

Pay Range$45.26 - $67.32 /hour
