Must-Have: CWON certification, no previous travel experience required

• Manage and coordinate patient care and wound management in consults and recommendations, in accordance with established standards, defined timelines, and overall plan of care.
• Documentation and billing.
• Discharge planning for supplies and ongoing care.
• Identification, assessment, prevention, and provision of continuing education.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Utilize provided phone for photo documentation.
• Treat a minimum of 5-15 patients per day, depending on new consults.
• Handle common diagnoses such as ostomies, draining wounds or fistulas, pressure, vascular, arterial, and diabetic ulcerations, as well as skin conditions resulting from incontinence, surgical procedures, or trauma.
• Address issues related to skin/tissue integrity and altered continence.
• Use Smith and Nephew wound vacs.
• Engage in a comprehensive departmental orientation with a preceptor and receive documentation education.
• No weekend or holiday requirements, and no call or standby requirements.
• Expected to float to other facilities as needed, sometimes planned in advance.
• Charting system used:
  Epic Systems Corporation – Epic Care Inpatient – EMR.
• No specific scrub color or dress code required.
