March 7, 2026 - Contract Duration: 20 weeks
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990–$2130
- Orientation: 1 day general hospital, 1 day unit, 1 day like units (all 12 hours)

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Washington state RN jobs
- BLS certification required
- Epic charting experience required
- Telemetry competency (must be completed and passed prior to start)
- Minimum 1 year of PCU nursing experience with prior travel nurse experience; 2 years if no travel experience
- Ability to float within Tacoma General and to Allenmore Hospital (2.5 miles away) as needed
- Clinical interview required
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations, including Covid, post-surgical (GI, Ortho, Gynecology), and medical patients (COPD, CHF, DVT, AKI)
- Float between multiple units (MSU, ED Holding, surge areas) as needed
- Provide post-operative care for Ortho, Neuro, GI surgeries, wound dressing changes, ostomies, traches (stable), and bariatric surgery
- Administer IV antibiotics, heparin drips, nebulizer treatments, and CIWA protocol
- Interpret basic cardiac rhythms and perform telemetry monitoring
- Document pain assessments before and after medication administration
- Collaborate with CNAs, hospitalists, and RTs (24/7 support)
- Maintain accurate documentation, participate in hourly rounding, and provide bedside reports
- Adhere to medication safety protocols, including two-nurse verification for wasting medications
- Participate in required breaks and maintain professional appearance (scrubs: any color)
