Saxon Aerospace is hiring on behalf of a premier aerospace and precision manufacturing client in Tacoma, WA. We're looking for a Machinist Lead-a skilled, motivated individual ready to step into a leadership role and help drive production excellence on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead by example with full proficiency in Machinist Level 1 and 2 duties

* Act as the shop's subject matter expert and mentor junior team members

* Oversee workflow to meet KPIs for quality, output, and efficiency

* Track time, job data, and report performance to the Shop Foreman

* Troubleshoot machining issues and support continuous improvement

* Inspect parts for accuracy and conformance to specs

* Assist in inventory management and shop organization

* Serve as backup to the Shop Foreman as needed

What You Bring:

* Strong hands-on machining experience and leadership skills

* Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

* Deep understanding of machining best practices and safety standards

* Excellent communication and team collaboration
