Maintenance Tech III

Overview

Job Description MITER Brands, a leader in the U.S. window and door industry, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Tacoma team. In this hands-on role, you’ll help keep our plant equipment and facilities running smoothly, maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

• Troubleshoot, service, and repair industrial equipment—including motors, AC drives, PLCs, servos, sensors, switches, and pneumatic components
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Maintain accurate repair and work logs using FiiX (computerized maintenance management system)
• Apply problem solving and root cause analysis to reduce repeat equipment failures, ensuring temporary repairs are followed by prioritized work orders for permanent fixes
• Prioritize and complete repairs to support efficient plant operations
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and partner with production teams to improve quality and machinery reliability
• Conduct fabrication work as needed
• Maintain facility grounds and services
• Always follow safety policies and use required Personal Protective Equipment

• Minimum 6 years’ maintenance experience, ideally in manufacturing
• Technical certification preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, cutting, welding, fabrication, and tooling
• Experience with diagnostic equipment (ohms meter, voltage meters, etc.), power tools, and computerized tracking systems (MRO, FiiX)
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and schematics
• Skilled in troubleshooting across multiple systems
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs alone, up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Computer literacy and ability to learn new software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Outstanding customer service abilities
