Position Summary:The Machine Operator plays a key role in our production process by setting up, operating, and maintaining corrugated box-making equipment. This position ensures all machinery runs efficiently, safely, and produces high-quality products that meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate various production machinery including flexo folder gluers, rotary die cutters, slotters, and stitchers.
- Set up machines according to production orders and specifications.
- Monitor operations to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
- Make mechanical adjustments to improve output and minimize downtime.
- Ensure correct materials are used and properly loaded into machines.
- Record production data, including quantities, waste, and downtime.
- Inspect finished products for defects and accuracy.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist in training or guiding new production team members as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 12 years of experience operating manufacturing or converting machinery preferred (corrugated or packaging industry a plus).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret production orders, schematics, and measurements.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Forklift experience helpful but not required (training provided).
- Full-time (Monday-Friday)
- Day Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) or Night Shift (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM)
