As a CBRE Facilities Director, you will serve as the primary client contact for delivering facilities management services to a healthcare client. This is an in‑office position. The role focuses on all aspects of operating a suite of assets, providing support to Property Managers on repairs and investment plans.
What You’ll Do- Provide formal supervision to employees; monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations and coaching, oversee recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities: establish schedules, assign tasks, cross‑train staff, set and track department deadlines, mentor and coach as needed.
- Review the client’s strategic plans to determine appropriate staffing levels.
- Manage capital project and operating budget reports for a singular property.
- Create action plans to improve financial positions and manage negotiations for contract services.
- Meet with the client management team and relevant departments to discuss, resolve, and address discrepancies.
- Apply robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, business, and key drivers that impact departmental and cross‑functional performance.
- Lead by example; model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, persuade managers and colleagues to act in line with operational plans, negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers.
- Identify and solve complex operational and organizational problems using appropriate resources within or outside the department.
- Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the occupation.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (8–12 years of relevant experience); in lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered;
Facility Management certification preferred. - Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with direct impact on multiple departmental results within a function.
- In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Expert organizational skills with advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Healthcare, Joint Commission, and DOH experience.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
