Regional Loan Administration Manager – Columbia Bank

Location: 2228 South 78th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409 – fully onsite.

Salary Range: $89,000 – $130,000 per year (depending on experience, skills, education).

Overview: Manage and oversee a regional team of Commercial Loan Specialists within Commercial Lending. Maintain high commercial loan closing expertise, ensure operational integrity, provide closing/technical counsel to Relationship Specialists, monitor results, remediate findings, and promote efficient operations processes.

• Partner with cross‑department management to develop and implement bank‑wide procedures, practices, and controls.
• Lead a team of Commercial Relationship Specialists: identify, hire, motivate, and retain top talent.
• Recommend, formulate, and test continuous process improvements and quality control procedures in collaboration with loan support services.
• Apply improvements to training and implementation, streamlining processes and increasing productivity.
• Coordinate operations and activities with management.
• Understand divisional and regional production goals and provide expertise and recommendations to business units.
• Ensure proper standards are implemented to safeguard company assets.
• Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations and update knowledge of regulatory changes.
• Follow all bank policies, procedures, and compliance regulations; complete required training.
• Maintain knowledge of the Bank’s written policies regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other applicable regulations.
• Coach, mentor, or train others as subject‑matter expert.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience and deep understanding of Commercial C&I and real estate financing, closing, procedures, and compliance regulations. Required.
• Less than 2 years of prior management experience in hiring, performance evaluation, and team leadership. Preferred.
• Proven ability to effectively manage and develop others.
• Experience creating and implementing banking policies, procedures, practices, and documentation.
• Excellent communication and management skills; manage diverse work groups operating remotely.
• Advanced interpersonal, leadership, and management skills; attract, motivate, and retain high‑performing sales team.
• Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient with personal computers and related software (Word, Excel).
• Ability to train and present to small and large audiences.
• Demonstrated accountability, dependability, initiative, and ability to prioritize tasks to ensure optimal results.
• Proven “outside‑the‑box” thinking for problem solving.
