Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery to work at a Facility in Tacoma, WA. These are registry positions with our company.
Pay Rate: $61 / hour
* W2
Work Environment & Schedule: Sun-Sat Shifts will include 4,8 or,12-hour shifts per unit need. Maximum 40 hours per week.
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery registered nurses to provide specialized care for pregnant, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients. L&D RN will be administering complex treatments, monitoring invasive and non-invasive equipment, providing intraoperative and postoperative care, and supporting mother-baby couplets. L&D RN will coordinate patient care, delegate staff assignments, and ensure safe, patient-centered care within their licensed scope of practice.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery in an acute care setting
- Education: Associates of Science in Nursing
- Certifications:
- BLS
- NRP
- ALS
- STABLE
- Fetal Monitoring Certification
- License:
- Current unrestricted RN license in one of the 50 US States and/or territories
- Experience:
- One Year of Experience in Nursing
U.S. Citizenship is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer complex treatments, monitor invasive and non-invasive equipment, measure patient progress in fluid balance and laboratory data, and administer other complex treatments such as IV Push medications.
- A strong working knowledge of intraoperative care (circulation nurse duties) for the pregnant and/or postpartum patients.
- knowledge of immediate postoperative (post- anesthesia) care following surgical procedure is required.
- Operate and monitor specialized monitoring, therapeutic and resuscitative equipment.
- Assessment and total care of pregnant patient through Labor and Deliver, high-risk obstetrics, and care of mother-baby couplets.
- Antepartum care for patients generally greater than 18 weeks gestation. Coordinate the census and acuity on the shift. Delegates staff assignments.
- Knowledge of the transitional care of neonates is required.
- HCW’s will be required to float within similar specialties
