Base pay range

$34.81/hr - $59.18/hr

TRA Medical Imaging is hiring for multiple CT Technologists to join our team. Whether you’re interested in a new full‑time role or just looking to add shifts that fit around your existing schedule, we have opportunities across the South Puget Sound with flexible schedules ranging from Per Diem to Part Time to Full Time.

Job Summary

This role involves performing CT functions in accordance with ARRT standards and ethics. The CT Technologist complies with company policies and procedures, including regulatory changes and safety standards, while balancing the needs of patients and physicians. The technologist works under the general supervision of the Site Manager and Radiologist.

Essential Job Functions
  • Prepare patients for CT exams with thorough explanations of the procedures.
  • Obtain a thorough patient history related to the exam.
  • Implement referring physician orders, producing images with minimum repeatability.
  • Perform IV punctures and necessary computer functions associated with patient exams (PACS).
  • Maintain a clean, stocked work area.
  • Participate in orientation and in‑service training for personnel.
  • Assist the radiologist with intricate CT examinations, including tissue biopsies and fluid drainages.
  • Accurately compile all patient information, confirm identification, and verify procedure details; evaluate pregnancy status when appropriate.
  • Coordinate hospital patient examinations by communicating with patients’ nurses regarding appointment time, medication, transport, etc.
  • Assist the radiologist in reviewing completed studies as applicable.
  • Understand patient flow, perform scheduling when required, and properly file examinations.
  • Evaluate lab values prior to administering contrast media and beginning interventional procedures.
  • Determine the appropriate type and dose of contrast agent based on patient attributes; explain precautions to all patients and nursing mothers.
  • Administer contrast agents, monitor patient condition during the procedure, and use appropriate radiation safety devices.
