CWICC Intel and Logistics Coordinator, Wildland Fire Program Coordinator 1 (WFPC1)

Salary: $5,241.00 - $7,043.00 Monthly

Responsibilities
  • Ensure coordinated initial and extended attack logistics dispatching of all agency employees and contracted resources engaged in fire suppression within the CWICC dispatch boundaries.
  • Ensure proper documentation of suppression activities and ensure all supporting documentation for billings is complete as required by agreements or policy.
  • Ensures the development and distribution of Mobilization Plans/Guides and Resource Directories to all agencies serviced by CWICC.
  • Working with duty officers from center-represented agencies (e.g., USFS, BLM, USFWS, BIA, DNR) to coordinate and provide updates on resources available for initial and extended attack coverage, contingency plans for potential incidents, and the implementation of those plans.
  • Supervise center staff, including: one permanent year-round Supervisory Wildland Fire Dispatcher (WFD4), up to three Senior Wildland Fire Dispatchers (WFD3), six seasonal Wildland Fire Dispatchers (WFD2).
  • Create/revise training plans and reference documents for logistics/intelligence dispatchers.
  • Working with field units, region management, and division, coordinate resource allocation for DNR and cooperator-prescribed fires.
  • In conjunction with the Center Manager, aid in setting up and supporting Expanded Dispatch. Act as SME for local business rules/operating procedures.
  • Representing DNR and the Center at meetings, IMT in-briefings, public events, etc.
  • Serve as acting Center Manager or Floor Coordinator as needed.
  • Serve as center duty officer on a rotating schedule.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two years of professional experience in dispatching, wildland fire suppression, wildland fire training, or a closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Experience in the Incident Command System.
  • Certificates of NIMS training: IS-100, IS-700.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to research and interpret complex rules, legal documents, plans, and contracts.
  • Knowledge of fire suppression principles/techniques and resource capabilities/limitations.
