We are seeking a seasoned Loan Partner with a state-specific NMLS license to drive production and maintain file quality from pre-approval through submission. This role includes setting up pre-approval applications, collecting and reviewing documentation, issuing document requests, running AUS, structuring and pricing loans, and proactively resolving issues to keep files on track. The Loan Partner will collaborate closely with Loan Officers, Processors, and Underwriters while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and diverse investor guidelines, including submitting exception requests when appropriate.

Loan Partner Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for borrowers during the loan process and third parties.
- Assist in taking customer loan applications, running credit, setting up files in Encompass, running AUS
- Gather and review borrower supporting documents (e.g., tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements)
- Perform thorough review and analysis of borrower’s credit, employment, and assets.
- Calculate income from personal & business tax returns before submitting to the loan processing department
- Ensure all loan files are complete, accurate, and compliant before processing submission
- Assist processors and underwriters to ensure we meet guidelines
- Coordinate with processors, underwriters, title companies, and real estate agents
- Manage pipeline: keep track of all contingency timelines, rate lock expiration dates, disclosures are signed and funding on time.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM and LOS tools
- 3+ years of experience in a retail mortgage lender (preferred)
- Experience supporting loan officers or working as a processor or loan assistant
- Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, DPA, Non-QM, etc.
- State-specific NMLS License
- Experience with
- Encompass LOS software
- Blend/eHome Trac
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple files and priorities under deadlines
