Tax Staff Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax
Staff Accountant with an Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA designation (preferred) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small firm environment, enjoys client interaction, and is passionate about tax planning and compliance.

• Prepare and review HNW individual, trust, and estate tax returns, and experience in business (S-Corp, C-Corp, Partnership).
• Conduct tax research and provide strategic tax planning for clients
• Communicate directly with clients and financial advisors to gather information, explain tax concepts, and deliver results
• Assist with IRS and state tax notices and audits
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
• Work on-site during the first year, with potential flexibility in subsequent years.
• Collaborate with all team members and financial advisors on complex tax matters and client engagements

• Active Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA preferred
• 5+ years of recent experience in public accounting or tax-focused firm
• Experience with high-net-worth individuals and small business clients, or business and estate/trust taxation.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
• Experience in tax software (e.g., Ultra Tax) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
