About Us

Homeostasis Systems Corp is pioneering carbon conversion technology that transforms industrial CO2 emissions into valuable carbon materials. Our innovative molten salt technology captures CO2 emissions at the source and converts them into high-value products like graphite and carbon nanotubes, enabling a circular carbon economy. We re working with leading manufacturers to integrate our technology into their production processes, starting with advanced battery materials.

The Role

We re seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Production Engineer to operate our reactor for molten carbonate electrolysis. This is a hands-on, on-site position working with high-temperature, high-power electrical furnaces in a controlled environment with hazards. You ll be the eyes and ears on the floor, monitoring equipment operation, following established procedures, and alerting the engineering team to any anomalies or safety concerns.

This role requires physical capability, attention to detail, and comfort working around equipment operating at high temperatures and high voltages. No specialized technical expertise is required—just a capable, careful person who can follow protocols and remain vigilant during operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate our reactor system according to training and established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Monitor equipment during operation, watching for abnormal behavior, temperature excursions, or potential safety issues.
  • Perform routine checks and measurements as directed by the engineering team.
  • Document operational parameters, observations, and any incidents or irregularities.
  • Assist with startup, shutdown, and maintenance procedures under engineering supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area around equipment.
  • Respond appropriately to alarms or emergency situations following established safety procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with the engineering team about equipment status and any concerns.
  • Support material handling tasks including loading feedstock and collecting product samples.
  • Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications
  • Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work on-site in Tacoma, WA
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments with high temperatures and high-voltage electrical equipment
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious mindset
  • Good communication skills for reporting observations and concerns
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Highly Desired:
  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial operations
  • Familiarity with furnace operations, foundry work, or other high-temperature processes
  • Background in electrical work or comfort around high-power electrical systems
  • Experience with process monitoring or quality control procedures
  • OSHA safety training or similar certifications
The Ideal Candidate

You re a dependable, safety-focused individual who stays calm and alert in demanding industrial environments. You re not intimidated by heat, noise, or heavy equipment, and you understand that vigilance and protocol adherence are critical when working with potentially hazardous systems. You take pride in doing your job carefully and thoroughly, and you re not afraid to speak up when something doesn t look right.

You re a team player who communicates well and can take direction from engineers while also using your own judgment to keep operations safe. Most importantly, you re excited to be part of a breakthrough climate technology mission and contribute your steady hands and watchful eyes to making our carbon conversion vision a reality.

Note:

This role includes periods of monitoring downtime between active operations, making it well-suited for technical students seeking hands-on experience with advanced systems while having time for coursework.

Why Join Us
  • Be on the ground floor of next-generation carbon materials technology
  • Gain hands on experience and contribute to the development of novel industrial systems and processes
  • Work directly with a dedicated technical team in a mission-driven environment
  • Work on challenging problems with domain experts
