Salary Level: $71,755 – $140,729 (based on preparation level and experience)

Union/Days per year: Teacher, 182 workdays, 10-month

Position Overview

This replacement contract is for the 2025‑2026 school year, estimated February 2026‑June 2026. The K‑3 Collaborative Teacher partners with the building administrator and classroom teachers to support primary student achievement within core instructional blocks using a collaborative approach and a variety of grouping configurations. The role focuses on strengthening K‑3 mathematics instruction within core and intervention blocks, increasing student math proficiency through targeted, small‑group instruction that is explicit, intentional and informed by data.

Job Functions
  • Develops, plans, and strategizes a program of study that meets students’ individual learning needs.
  • Assesses student growth regularly, provides progress reports, and refers students for evaluation as needed.
  • Implements district instructional goals; assists administration with policy implementation and classroom behavior management.
  • Prepares lesson plans; provides differentiated instruction and scaffolding; uses instructional materials to achieve curriculum goals.
  • Maintains open communication with students, parents, colleagues and community members; conducts conferences and meetings.
  • Maintains accurate records; uses formative and summative data to plan and adjust instruction; tracks growth using state rubrics.
  • Protects students, equipment and facilities; supervises students across school settings.

Job Duties
  • Continually improve professional competence through math professional development activities.
  • Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees; supervise Para Educators as required.
  • Develop collegial relationships; collaborate with peers and administrators to improve student learning.
  • Maintain files on curriculum guides; update instructional plans as needed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned on a temporary basis.
  • Ensure reliable attendance and physical presence.
Conditions

Confined to work area; must secure substitute or leave only during assigned breaks; may work with and defuse challenging situations; may need to supervise outside of school; may be exposed to high noise levels; may lift and carry up to 20 lbs; may need to be mobile.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from accredited university with appropriate educational endorsement or equivalent experience.

Licenses/Special Requirements: Valid Washington State teaching certificate, completion of all district‑required trainings, fingerprints and background clearances.
