Neonatologist – Washington State

Board Eligible or Board Certified Neonatologist to join the collaborative NICU team at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital
, a 70-bed Level IV NICU attached to Tacoma General Hospital with approximately 4,000 annual deliveries
.

Key Responsibilities
  • High‑Impact Work:
    Be part of a high‑acuity NICU where your expertise will make a real difference in the lives of newborns and their families.
  • Clinical Innovation:
    Participate in the development of POCUS (point‑of‑care ultrasound) and NIRS (near‑infrared spectroscopy) programs, expanding bedside diagnostic and monitoring capabilities.
  • Advanced Therapies:
    Provide care using established HFJV (high‑frequency jet ventilation) and HFOV (high‑frequency oscillatory ventilation) with opportunities to engage in Vermont Oxford Network (VON) quality initiatives and Tiny Baby Collaborative projects.
  • Specialized

    Collaboration:

    Support a heart center with a growing cardiothoracic surgery program and work directly with an exceptional team of medical and surgical subspecialists, and an exceptional PICU team supporting ECMO and postoperative neonatal cardiac patients.
  • Work‑Life Balance:
    Enjoy 24‑hour in‑house shifts that allow for extended time off between rotations—perfect for recharging or exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
  • Diverse Clinical Experience
    • Collaborate with PNPs caring for newborns in the birthing center.
    • Partner with NNPs staffing Level II nurseries in Auburn and Puyallup.
    • Contribute to consult for neonatal transport services, providing specialized care across a broad surrounding community.

Pay (Base): $200,000 – $400,000
