• Coverage Type:
  Scheduled clinical hours plus call
• FTE: 1.0
• Primarily Monday-Friday schedule with variable hours
• Weekday call rotation with weekend call approximately every fourth weekend
• Setting:
  Inpatient
Clinical Details
• Scope of Practice:
  Pre- and post-operative patient evaluation and management, inpatient and outpatient care
• OR Responsibilities:
  First assist for cardiothoracic and thoracic surgery
• Procedures Include:
  Coronary artery bypass, valve surgeries, aortic and arch reconstruction, robotic-assisted thoracic surgery, minimally invasive valve procedures, VATS and robotic thoracic cases, endoscopic vein harvest, open radial artery harvest, thoracic and foregut procedures
• Inpatient Care: ICU and step-down management, daily rounds, discharge summaries, emergent bedside procedures as needed
• Case Volume:
  Approximately 6-8 cardiac cases per week and 9-12 thoracic cases per week
• Patient Population:
  Adult
• EMR:
  Epic
• Support Staff:
  Registered nurses and established cardiothoracic APP team
Requirements
• Board certified as an Advanced Practice Provider
• Minimum of three years of cardiothoracic and/or thoracic surgery experience
• Active Washington license preferred; IMLC considered
• ACLS
• BLS
• DEA
• Clean malpractice history
• Strong robotic thoracic surgery experience required
