Immediate locum opportunity for an experienced Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon, a Level II Trauma Center in Tacoma, Washington. This assignment offers excellent compensation, strong APP support, and ongoing monthly coverage for physicians seeking high-acuity trauma work with flexibility.
Assignment Highlights
Level II Trauma Center
Coverage: Up to 2 weeks per month
Duration: 6 9 months (ongoing need)
ER coverage 24/7 with dedicated PA support
Mix of Hospital + Outpatient Clinic
️ 3 outpatient clinic mornings per week (Mon Fri, days TBD)
Patient volume varies: 0 7 cases per day
EMR: EPIC
Clinical Scope
Full spectrum of orthopedic trauma cases
Excludes complex pelvic cases
ER trauma coverage
Inpatient orthopedic consults
Outpatient follow-up and clinic care

Candidate Requirements
Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship preferred
Minimum 5 years Level II trauma experience (required)
Washington license preferred or IMLC with LOQ in hand
BLS & DEA required (can be obtained after offer)
Clean malpractice history strongly preferred
Immediate availability at name clear
Note:
Surgeons with strong trauma experience but without fellowship training may be considered if credentialing criteria are met.

May 20 (7 AM) May 25 (7 AM)
Ongoing coverage based on internal provider schedule
