Join Our Team as a Locum Hematology-Oncology Physician Tacoma, WA

This vital role offers the opportunity to work in prestigious hospital outpatient and inpatient settings, supporting patients with complex hematology and oncology needs. With a flexible 6-month assignment, you will contribute to a seamless transition for our healthcare facility while enjoying a rewarding and impactful role.

Required Skills:

• MD or DO with valid medical license in Washington State
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology and Oncology
• Proven experience in outpatient and inpatient hematology/oncology care
• Proficient in EMR systems, specifically Epic
• Exceptional clinical skills and ability to manage a patient load of 16-20 patients daily
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience with bone marrow aspirations (optional)
• Prior locum or temporary coverage experience
• Familiarity with hospital-based outpatient settings
• Additional procedure skills relevant to hematology/oncology

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years post-residency or fellowship experience in Hematology/Oncology
• Recent experience in hospital outpatient and inpatient environments

Other Requirements:

• Availability to start on December 8, 2025
• Commitment to working 4 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday at St Joseph s; Friday at St Anthony s; off on Tuesday)
• Willingness to participate in rotating weekend call (max 1 in 4 weekends)
• No travel or BMT/BMB procedures required
• Credentialing process to be completed within 60-90 days
• Prior experience with Epic EMR is preferred
