This position is located in the Directorate of Surgery, Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology, at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.

Joint Base Lewis-McChord is located at Fort Lewis, Washington, near the city of Tacoma. Madigan AMC is one of only three designated Level Two trauma centers within the U.S. Medical Command.
Tacoma is a progressive city of 200,000 nestled between Seattle and the state capital of Olympia. The region offers the attractions of larger metropolitan areas, with a hometown feel. World‑class museums, hotels and theaters draw thousands to downtown Tacoma while the shores of the Puget Sound and Mount Rainier inspire outdoor enthusiasts. - Provide obstetrics services, to include both medical and surgical management, for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of prenatal and postnatal care.
- Provide gynecology diagnosis and treatment, to include both medical and surgical management, to evaluate a wide range of female pelvic conditions or issues.
- Provide examination, diagnosis, and treatment of the full range of OB/GYN patients, from pediatric to geriatric patients.
- Evaluate both functional and dysfunctional problems related to the female pelvis, to include masses, pain, urological complaints, bleeding abnormalities, hormonal dysfunction, and infections.
- Perform advanced examination and treatment of patients referred for consultation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Degree:
Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association;
Association of American Medical Colleges;
Liaison Committee on Medical Education;
Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must have provided education and medical knowledge equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
Licensure:
Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
