Position SummaryThis position is responsible for creating content for the Communications Department. The role supports the Tribe in producing written and visual media across all communication channels. Level I content producers manage moderately complex tasks, while Level II producers act as team leads on high‑complexity multimedia projects and provide creative direction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop written articles, photo and video ideas, and contribute to the Communications Department's editorial calendar.
- Create written content for tribal news outlets, website copy, social media promotion, print publications, newsletters, employee announcements, and press releases.
- Create multimedia content, including photographs, digital graphics, long‑form and short‑form videos, and streaming videos.
- Assist with visual media posting to the Tribe's website, Facebook, Instagram, You Tube, and other platforms in coordination with the visual media manager.
- Research and respond to internal and external information requests, route or resolve issues and concerns.
- Enter event information into calendars and assist with media relations and events for the Tribe.
- Contribute to crisis communications response as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
- Plan and implement complex content projects, such as multi‑day multimedia series, and act as team lead for public relations or other content projects involving multiple employees, contractors, and departments.

- Level I:
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field strongly preferred. - Level II:
All Level I requirements plus at least two years of content production experience.
- Strong writing skills, understanding of grammar, or strong video and photography skills.
- Proficiency with word processing, digital content tools (cameras, social media platforms), and a working knowledge of Associated Press style.
- Understanding of effective social media use and digital best practices.
- Digital photo editing experience a plus; audio/visual experience with live-streaming events a plus.
- Interest in web‑based communications and web editing skills preferred.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn local Tribal culture and sensitivity to Elders, youth, and other community members.
- Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and be able to work long hours with unpredictable schedules.
- Valid, unrestricted Washington State driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Drone pilot’s license or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Ability to operate a personal computer, multi‑line telephone, calculator, facsimile, and photocopier.
- Ability to read, write, communicate, and interpret information accurately in English.
- Requires sitting, use of hands, frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and occasional lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
- Moderate noise level and low to moderate physical exertion.
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- May require travel using employee’s own transportation and work nights, weekends, or holidays.
