Pre-school Classroom Support-Temporary - Sumner​/South Hill​/Bonney Lake

Part Time Position

10.5 hours per week, needed with a maximum of 69 hours a month. Seasonal consistent with the K‑12 academic year.

As someone with experience in child care or studying education, you will gain hands‑on experience working in a pre‑school classroom. You will support a teacher in guiding and leading activities for children, corralling them, helping with line‑up or putting toys away, and observing how teachers handle big behaviors and challenges.

You will support the growth and development of children and families in the Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), located in Buckley.

You will be a contributing support member of a teaching team, providing excellent customer service and communicating with families, children, and partners. Reliability, preparation, willingness to multi‑task, ask questions, and take direction are essential.

• 6 months to 1 year relevant experience in a preschool or childcare setting.

• A valid Washington State driver’s license may be required when travel is required.
• Pediatric First Aid / CPR card must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Food handler's permit must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• TB skin test or, for those with a positive skin test, a doctor or chest x‑ray statement must be furnished on hire.
• Proof of MMR or immunity.
• A criminal history check including fingerprints is required prior to hire.
• Portable background check through the Department of Early Learning within 30 days of hire and kept current for unsupervised access to children.
