Grit City Books is a queer-owned, community-driven independent bookstore on 6th Ave in Tacoma. We believe books change lives, stories connect people, and bookstores should be welcoming spaces for everyone. Our shelves highlight underrepresented voices, local authors, and titles that spark curiosity and conversation, and our team is rooted in inclusion, care, and a shared love of connecting readers with great books.

About Grit City Books
Grit City Books is more than just a bookstore - we are trying to build a cornerstone of the Tacoma community, dedicated to fostering a love of reading and bringing people together through the magic of books. While we may not have specific openings right now, we are always interested in hearing from enthusiastic individuals who want to be part of our team.

Depending on your skills and interests, you could find yourself:
- Assisting Customers: Helping book lovers find their next great read and providing exceptional customer service.
- Organizing Events: Planning and hosting author signings, book clubs, and community events.
- Managing Inventory: Keeping our shelves stocked and our inventory system updated.
- Creating Content: Developing engaging social media posts and marketing materials.
- Providing Support: Offering administrative support and ensuring the store runs smoothly.
