THE ROLEThis position will support the Finance Department through various responsibilities in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GL Accounting, and Office Administration. This position will also support the Booking Department through Contracts Administration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Reconcile A/R and A/P control accounts to detail aging
- Reconcile cash receipts and disbursements
- Coordinate vendor invoice payments, including inquiries, vendor forms and new vendor set up
- Assist with coding of receipts and disbursements into the general ledger
- Assist with data entry for payroll-related reports
- Assist in reconciliation of box office ticket sales reports, premium sales, and parking sales for events
- File various records and reports
- Assist the booking department in contracts administration, including recordkeeping and coordination with customers
- Administrative support including office management tasks such as filing, scanning, and management of office supplies
- Perform related tasks and/or clerical work as assigned
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications- Demonstrate knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software and be willing to learn and use accounting and financial reporting software
- Demonstrate good interpersonal and communications skills
- Exhibit good problem-solving skills and organizational ability
- Exhibit a professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to listen, follow instructions and ask for clarification
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management and clients
- Ability to read and interpret written information
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Required to be subject to a credit check and a background screening
- High School diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in accounting highly desired
- Payroll and Accounts Payable experience a plus
Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan. Base wage range of $25 - $30 per hour based on experience. Overtime will be paid at time and one half for weekly hours over 40. Sick leave is paid in accordance with Washington state law.
