ASSISTANT MANAGER - DUTY MANAGEMENTJob Purpose:
- The Marine Assistant Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating end to end guest marine mobility operations ensuring that daily marine guest transfer activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high quality standard.
- The role focuses on operational excellence, accountability, and adherence to CTSC service standards, luxury hospitality expectations, and Forbes service requirements, while supporting departmental strategic objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
- The Marine Assistant Duty Manager maintains real time operational control, system accuracy, and effective coordination across fleet, jetty, captains, and operations control teams, ensuring seamless execution of marine transport services.
- All responsibilities are performed in accordance with Duty Managers Roles and Responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on safety, service consistency, and premium guest experience.
Functional/Technical Responsibilities
Administrative:
- Review, validate, and authorize the daily marine mobility plan prior to commencement of operations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, hotels, DMCs, and network operations on the day of operation.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of operational activities, deviations, and incidents.
- Support Magenta documentation, voyage records, and operational data integrity.
- Coordinate operational communications and escalations in line with defined authority levels.
Operations:
- Oversee end to end marine mobility operations, ensuring vessel readiness, crew preparedness, and alignment with the published guest program.
- Coordinate closely with fleet, jetty, captains, and operations control teams to ensure smooth execution of guest transfers.
- Supervise guest embarkation and disembarkation activities to ensure punctuality, safety, and premium service delivery.
- Manage vessel departures and arrivals, including adherence to the late departure policy and guest waiting grace periods.
- Maintain continuous communication with vessel captains and act as the operational focal point throughout the day of service.
- React to operational disruptions and make authorized ground level decisions to maintain service continuity.
- Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Ensure full compliance with CTSC Marine Operations policies, SOPs, and service standards.
- Oversee bookings, scheduling, and live operations through the Magenta system and Captain's App.
- Monitor real time voyage tracking and immediately address or escalate discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to defined roles, responsibilities, and RACI framework
. - Contribute to operational reporting, performance reviews, and management updates as required.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS), maritime regulations, and CTSC environmental standards.
- Supervise vessel and crew readiness checks prior to guest departures.
- Document, report, and escalate incidents, deviations, and guest concerns through established reporting channels.
- Ensure safe and compliant execution of guest and luggage handling operations in coordination with relevant teams.
- Promote a strong safety and service culture across all operational touchpoints.
- Monitor operational KPIs including schedule adherence, system accuracy, service quality, and guest satisfaction.
- Identify operational trends, inefficiencies, or recurring issues and propose improvement actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, safety, and guest experience.
