Product Specialist – South Region

Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

The role forms part of the ENT Division and is responsible for executing marketing strategies and tactical plans that promotes Smith & Nephew product superiority. This role focuses on the coordination with the Regional Marketing Managers to drive revenue and market share for the division and maintain customer relations with major accounts while driving the customer requirements back into the Company.

The Product Specialist will be selling unique patented devices and implants in theatre directly to opinion leading surgeons.

Qualifications

What will you need to be successful?

  • Assess clients’ needs and present suitable promoted products
  • Present product information and deliver product samples
  • Communicate with and persuade targeted doctors to prescribe our products utilizing effective selling skills and performing cost-benefit analysis
  • Attend sales meetings, conference calls, training sessions and symposium circuits
  • Keep detailed records of all contacts
  • Manage budgets for catering, outside speakers, conferences and hospitality
  • Work with sales team to develop strategies and implement brand strategies to ensure a consistent marketing message
  • Plan work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables with the area sales team or discuss future targets with the BUM
Experience & Education

Successful candidates would need the following:

  • Degree within Health Sciences or a Biomedical Degree
  • Previous Sales Experience in Medical Devices
  • In-theatre and or clinical marketing experience is a plus
  • Experience in product training
  • Ability to speak in both English and Arabic
