We are seeking a highly motivated and deeply technically experienced Robotics Engineer living in Saudi Arabia to lead the operation, maintenance, enhancement, and advancement of cutting-edge robotic solutions within our client site.
The ideal candidate will play a critical leadership role in maintaining mission-critical robotic platforms, driving technical improvements, and ensuring the highest standards of performance, safety, cybersecurity, and documentation.
The Engineer must have deep technical expertise in robotic systems integration, path planning, hardware-software interfacing, and system reliability engineering, a passion for innovation, and exceptional collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring the seamless performance and continuous improvement of our robotic systems.
KEYACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
1. System Operation & Maintenance
- Lead the daily operation and supervision of robotic systems (hardware and software).
- Design and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
- Plan and coordinate all maintenance and potential enhancement activities with different stakeholders internally or externally if required.
- Ensure high system uptime, reliability, and operational continuity.
- Perform advanced diagnostics, root cause analysis, and system recovery.
- Design and oversee integration between mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems.
- Implement and optimize robotic path planning and navigation systems.
- Integrate robotic hardware components including sensors, LiDAR, cameras, actuators, and networking systems.
- Lead hardware–software integration testing and validation.
- Develop and test robotic prototypes for performance and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve complex system errors & malfunctions and performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure any enhancement is documented and detailed.
- Conduct quality control assessments and functional performance tests.
- Optimize system parameters to enhance efficiency and operational accuracy.
- Ensure full compliance with technology policies, cybersecurity standards, and operational procedures.
- Maintain secure system architecture aligned with cybersecurity best practices.
- Develop detailed digitized operational reports for client and internal review purposes (daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc).
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for system enhancements and upgrades.
- Report performance metrics, system KPIs, risk assessments, and improvement recommendations to senior management.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging robotic technologies.
- Recommend strategic system enhancements to improve performance and scalability.
- Drive innovation initiatives aligned with client and organizational objectives.
- Lead and plan technical training sessions for operators, technicians, and relevant teams.
- Develop training materials and standard operating procedures.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and operational staff.
- Serve as subject matter expert for robotic systems within the organization.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience in robotics engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in system implementation and project management.
- Proven experience operating and maintaining complex robotic systems in live environments.
- Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and stakeholder coordination.
- Advanced understanding of designing and integrating mechanical, electrical, and software systems integration.
- Experience developing and testing robotic prototypes.
- Strong expertise in robotic path planning and navigation algorithms.
- Hands‑on experience with robotic hardware components (sensors, cameras, networking systems, embedded systems).
- Proven hardware–software integration experience.
- Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity standards and secure system architecture.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent technical documentation and reporting ability.
- Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
- High professional integrity and compliance mindset.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Certified Robotics Expert from DEEP Robotics Company (Required).
