CDL Class B Boom Driver

Responsible for delivering products and materials on a timely basis to job sites, as well as for loading and unloading trucks and providing supervision/direction to laborers as needed.

• Drive trucks from the facility to designated job sites safely and in a timely manner.
• Load and unload building materials on and off trucks and carry materials onto job sites.
• Keep mileage logs as necessary.
• Follow directions from dispatcher/branch management.
• Convey directions and work effectively with a partner.
• Operate forklifts periodically.
• Use personal protective equipment as required.
• Responsible for care and maintenance of assigned vehicle.
• Operate designated crane/boom, or moffett safely and efficiently.
• Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Notify branch management immediately on any unsafe loading condition.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Some schooling is preferred.
• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Must also obtain a clean driving history record.
• Participate in mandatory federally regulated drug and alcohol program.

• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of objects including overhead lifting (weights will vary from 50 to 150 pounds).
• Dexterity to manipulate and utilize equipment as needed.
• Maintain visual acuity.
• Exposure to environmental surroundings (e.g., dust and varying temperatures).
