Transporter (Driver) – The Salvation Army Family Place Program seeks a full‑time Transporter‑Driver to provide safe door‑to‑door transport for children in foster care attending the Family Place Visitation Center in Syracuse, NY. Salary $20.00/hr, Monday‑Friday.

• Provide safe transportation to the visitation center, ensuring children are secured in appropriate car seats and seat belts are used.
• Assist children in boarding and disembarking and engage with visitors/clients entering the building.
• Maintain accurate trip records, vehicle care, cleanliness, and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct daily vehicle pre‑operations and post‑operations, and identify problems for repair.
• Pass all motor vehicle driving tests and maintain a valid New York State driver’s license.
• Attend training and supervision and perform other assignments as requested.
• Demonstrate cultural competence and integrate understanding into daily responsibilities and the organization’s strategic plan.

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year related experience.
• Valid New York State driver’s license and comply with DOT regulations.
• Drug testing required.
• Training and/or experience with passenger assistance techniques desired.
