The Youth Development Professional will supervise and act as a role model to clients who reside in an apartment setting. Assist and teach clients day to day routines and basic living skills such as defined in care plans. Maintain household including meal planning and preparation. Serve as a positive liaison to schools, parents, and others who have a relationship to clients.
Provide transportation for program/client activities. Assist in academic needs and participate in and plan recreation as appropriate.
This is a residential program working with youth in foster care.
Schedule 1:
Saturday & Sunday 7am-3pm
Schedule 2:
Saturday & Sunday 3pm-11pm
Schedule 3:
Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am (Overnight)
Must be 21 year's old and have a valid NYS driver's license with 4 points or less. High School Diploma or GED required;
Associates in Human Services preferred. Experience working with at risk children or teenagers, children or teenagers with mental health diagnosis or in another human service area or in a health care field OR Associates degree in Human Services or related field required. Will be required to successfully complete fingerprinting clearance and provide/complete a physical examination.
