  • Hiring Range: $24.52 – $27.41 per hour ($44,626 – $49,886 annualized)

Position Overview

The Workforce Advisor Community Outreach is a member of the CNY Works Career Centers Adult and Dislocated Worker Workforce Programs and Services cross‑functional team that recruits and serves Quality Jobs, Equity, Strategy, and Training (QUEST) National Dislocated Worker Grant (NDWG) eligible participants. The role performs multiple Career Center key functions, including front‑desk reception, telephone reception, resource center assistance, and job‑readiness and job‑search related classes and workshops.

Responsibilities
  • Determine whether job‑seeker customers meet WIOA eligibility requirements and co‑enrollment options.
  • Complete the NYS Career Center Customer Registration form (ES‑100) via NYS One‑Stop Operating System (OSOS).
  • Complete the NYS Career Services Eligibility Survey (ES‑102) via NYSOSOS.
  • Complete the Data Element Validation (DEV) process via NYSOSOS.
  • Conduct an initial assessment and determine QUEST NDWG eligibility.
  • Assess customer career services needs upon enrollment to determine work and job readiness.
  • Recommend either basic career (Job Search Ready, JSR) or individualized career services (Career Development Services, CDS) strategies.
  • Provide CDS customers with guidance on achieving job readiness and meeting employers’ non‑technical skill requirements.
  • Deliver follow‑up services, track, and analyze data at the individual, caseload, and agency‑wide levels.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human or social services or a related field with 2–3 years of experience.
  • Associate (Arts, Science, or Applied Science) degree with 5–10 years of experience.
  • Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience in career or workforce development.
